Fell Cyclops — Albaneve Summits, Flame 7, and the Laser Eye
Strategy for the Fell Cyclops in Enshrouded: laser eye tells you exactly where to stand, fire is its kryptonite, and the Elixir Well arena is tight.
Editor’s note: We have been testing this in early access and confirm the mechanics and location described on this page. Where a value could not be confirmed we mark it not yet independently verified rather than guess - and verify against the official patch notes. Last verified: 2026-09-20.
Scope note: This page is written for 1.0 (October 15, 2026) from verified early-access data. Mechanics and location are confirmed. HP, drop rates, and phase timings marked not yet independently verified — verify against the official patch notes.
The Fell Cyclops is a fire-weak well guardian, and the whole fight comes down to one habit: read the laser-eye charge, break line of sight, and strike the eye socket between beams. The arena is the red-mist Elixir Well in Albaneve Summits — tight ground, so positioning matters more than raw DPS. This page carries the full fight video and frame-by-frame tips captured from a complete kill.
Naming note: the in-game boss bar reads Enthralled Cyclops; community guides call the same encounter the Fell Cyclops. Official 1.0 naming (not yet independently verified).

Where to find it
The fell cyclops lives in Albaneve Summits, Elixir Well — head to Albaneve Summits and follow the biome-specific landmark for this arena. See the Flame Altar guide for gate mechanics. The recorded fight takes place inside the well itself: red mist, low visibility, and broken ruins for cover.

Before you fight
- Expect adds on the approach. The mist path to the well is patrolled — clear or outrun them so you start the boss at full Stamina.
- Line of sight is your armor. The laser travels in straight lines; ruins and pillars break it.

Damage taken
Damage multipliers for this boss, read from the game data via the community wiki (not yet independently verified). Above 1.0× the boss takes extra damage of that type; below 1.0× it resists; immune means the type has no effect.
| Damage type | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Physical Armor | 0.9× |
| Cut | 1× |
| Pierce | 1× |
| Blunt | 1× |
| Poison | 1.4× |
| Explosion | 1× |
| Skill Shot | 1× |
| Magical Armor | 1× |
| Fire | 1.4× |
| Fog | immune |
| Ice | 1× |
| Lightning | 1× |
How to beat the Fell Cyclops: fight tips
Break line of sight when the eye charges
The signature move is the laser eye. When the eye starts glowing, get a ruin between you and the boss — the beam sweeps in straight lines and punishes open ground.

Dodge the beam sweep
After the initial beam it sweeps the arena. Sprint sideways through the swing arc rather than backing straight up — the sweep covers more ground behind it than in front.

Strike the eye socket between beams
Between beam volleys the eye socket is exposed — that is where the damage numbers come from. Two or three fire hits, then reset behind cover.

Finish with fire bursts
Low health, same rules: fire bursts into the eye, cover between volleys. Do not chase it into the open mist.

Attack patterns (verified early access)
1.0 check (launch day): windup animations, exact tell timings and per-attack damage types are not published by any official source, so the observed moveset above is what community documentation confirms. The general 1.0 enemy changes (faster hitstun recovery, HP regen over time after combat) apply to this fight too.
| Move (as observed) | What it does | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Laser eye charge | The eye glows, then fires a straight beam. | Break line of sight; the socket is exposed during the charge. |
| Beam sweep | The beam sweeps the arena floor. | Sprint sideways through the arc, not backwards. |
| Melee slams | Heavy hits when you stand close. | Dodge out; do not tank them without a shield. |
| Mist pressure | The arena fog limits visibility. | Keep ruins as landmarks; do not lose the boss. |
Named attack values, exact tell timings, and any 1.0 reworks stay placeholder until launch day.
Phase breakdown
Phases are structured for 1.0; only the early-access behavior below is confirmed, the rest is a placeholder for launch-day verification.
Phase 1 — Single phase (early access). The laser eye is the threat: during the eye charge-up the socket is the weak point. Weak to fire and poison (1.4x each) - so bring fire or poison; ice and blunt are neutral, not counters.
Phase 2 —
No phase split confirmed at 1.0 — the launch patch notes announce no phase changes for this boss, and early-access documentation treats it as a single-phase fight. Phase thresholds stay pending in-game verification.
Phase 3 —
No enrage phase confirmed at 1.0 — the launch patch notes announce no phase changes for this boss. Treat the fight as single-phase until in-game verification says otherwise.
What changes at 1.0
1.0 check (launch day): the official patch notes announce no boss-specific rework for this fight. It gets the general 1.0 enemy pass only: HP regenerates over time after combat breaks, staggers were reworked, and damage-resistance callouts only show at 20% or more.
Recommended loadout
Fire damage and the eye socket during the laser charge are the two confirmed windows. Ice and blunt are neutral rather than counters — build around fire or poison and time your hits to the laser windup instead of trading during its swings.
General guidance: match your build to the boss’s confirmed weak point — Fire; eye socket during laser charge. Bring Flame Altar safe-zone retreats within sprint range. See the Comfort system guide for Stamina management tips.
Drops & rewards
Verified drop table (community wiki, early access - to be verified at 1.0):
| Item | Quantity | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Fell Cyclops Head | 1 | Materials |
| Enshrouded Cyclops Eye | 1 | Materials |
1.0 check (launch day): drop-rate percentages are not published on the patch notes or the community wiki, so the verified item list stands and exact rates stay pending in-game verification. Every chest world-wide did gain +5% legendary chance at 1.0, but per-boss rates are still unlisted.
1.0 verification checklist
Re-check against the official patch notes on launch day:
- HP value (confirm in-game or from patch notes)
- Drop table and drop rates
- Phase count and tell timings
- Any named-attack reworks or balance changes
- Whether gate Flame level shifted
- Official boss name (the bar reads Enthralled Cyclops in early access)
