Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.1 - Crash & Lighting Fixes

Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.1 (build 1267041): random-crash and indoor-lighting fixes, Fire Wisp scroll rebalance, plus known sound and world-edit issues.

Hotfix 1.0.0.1 (build 1267041) is the first patch after the Enshrouded 1.0 launch on October 15, 2026. It is a stability and balance pass — no new content. Full official change log below.

What’s fixed

  • Random crashes — fixed several issues that could cause random crashes.
  • Indoor lighting — fixed a dynamic-lighting bug that caused indoor brightness problems.
  • Fire Wisp scroll — the scroll now has a fixed level 27. Previously its damage scaled with player level, which made it ridiculously strong in the end-game.
  • Deluxe Upgrade Pack — updated the artbook and world map included in the pack.
  • Peripheral crashes — fixed crashes caused by specific peripherals attached to the PC.

Known issues (per Keen)

  • Sound / reverb — an issue with reverb in large halls or rooms, and with gameplay sounds being dynamically lowered while lore voice-over plays. It only appears when the master volume slider is below 100%. Until a fix lands, keep the master volume at 100% and regulate volume in the Windows sound settings instead.
  • World edit button — after this hotfix, the world edit button may not respond. Temporary workaround: subscribe to anything in Adventure Sharing, then try editing your world again. Keen is fixing it.

How this affects your build

The Fire Wisp scroll change only matters if you were leaning on it as an end-game damage scroll — it is now correctly capped at level 27 rather than scaling past that. Everything else is pure stability. If you hit the world-edit bug, use the Adventure Sharing subscribe workaround above rather than rerolling your world.
