Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.2 - World Settings, Save & Crash Fixes

Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.2 (build 1269579): world-settings and Nvidia fog fixes, save-migration crash fix, factory and fast-travel crashes.

Hotfix 1.0.0.2 (build 1269579) is the second patch after the Enshrouded 1.0 launch. It is a stability and regression pass — no new content. Full official change log below.

What’s fixed

  • World settings — fixed an issue that prevented configuring world settings. This was introduced accidentally in the previous hotfix while fixing the misbehaving session lists in the multiplayer join menus.
  • Save migration — fixed a rare crash during save-game migration that occurred when loading a corrupted character save. Corrupted characters are now skipped instead of crashing; a proper fix that migrates and repairs them is on the way.
  • Nvidia fog rendering — fixed a grey-fog rendering glitch (not the Shroud) that appeared only on Nvidia graphics cards, most often inside the Hollow Halls.
  • Factories — fixed crashes in rare cases when placing a factory down, and when a factory failed to show the correct menu on interaction.
  • Skill-tree localization — fixed localization issues for the skills Aerial Wand Attack, Evasion Attack, Wand Evasion Attack and Crash Down Attack in several languages. More skill descriptions arrive in the next patch.
  • Fast travel / glider — fixed a crash when fast traveling or landing with a glider in a world with many entities (enemies, survivors, mannequins, etc.).
  • Adventure Sharing — increased the stability of subscribing, and fixed crashes while browsing shared adventures or starting a download.
  • Random & specific crashes — fixed several rare randomly-occurring crashes, crashes connected to the water simulation, a server crash when fighting a very large number of enemies, a crash tied to the Twitch link server, a crash that only appeared with a completely filled backpack, and potential crashes while exiting the game.

How this affects your build

Mostly pure stability. The one visible regression is the world-settings config bug from 1.0.0.1 — if you couldn’t open world settings, that now works again. If a character went missing from your list due to a corrupted save, Keen asks for patience: the next patch is expected to migrate and repair those characters rather than drop them.
