Cyclops Faction — The Albaneve Caves Cyclops, Weakness, and Flame Gate
The only Cyclops boss in Enshrouded: Albaneve Caves location, easiest boss in the game, long-telegraphed stomp mechanic, and why every runner needs this head trophy.

Cyclops boss at a glance
The Cyclops is the easiest named boss in Enshrouded — a single one-eyed giant that stomps in the Albaneve Caves. It’s no Flame-gated, has no phases, and its signature attack is telegraphed so clearly that a first-timer can dodge it on attempt one. That makes it a go-to head-farm for runners who need the Cyclops Head for late-game recipes.

How to find the Cyclops arena
Multiple cave entrances lead to the same Cyclops arena, across three biomes:
- Springlands side — enter caves near the north Springlands edge
- Revelwood side — enter caves from the western Revelwood border
- Albaneve Summits side — enter caves from the southern Albaneve approach
All entrances open into the same fight — no separate Cyclops instances per cave.
What the Cyclops actually does
- Stomp attack — a bright red circle on the arena floor, several seconds before impact. Move out of it and you take zero damage.
- Slow club swings — basic melee that’s easy to kite around or block.
- No projectile phases, no elemental affinity, no rage mode.
It’s the only boss that doesn’t change behavior at all through the fight — same moves, same rhythm, from start to finish.
Why its head matters
The Cyclops Head isn’t for a Flame Altar upgrade (unlike most boss heads). It goes into late-game weapon and armor crafting recipes — specifically the Albaneve tier of weapons and the highest-tier armor set for melee runners. If you’re gearing for the endgame, you’ll want two or three Cyclops Heads stored away.
Compare with other boss factions
Cyclops is one of five boss factions in Embervale:
- Fell faction — 7 bosses, Shroud-corrupted, Flame 3-8 gates
- Hollow faction — 1 boss, dungeon-ender, every biome
- Scavenger faction — 1 boss, three combat variants, Flame 3
- Vukah faction — 1 boss, weak to poison and fog, Hammer of the Gods
- All bosses by region — every boss grouped by biome
The Cyclops sits outside the Flame-gated progression path entirely — you can fight it the moment you reach Albaneve Caves, no matter your Flame level. That makes it uniquely accessible for early or mid-game head-farming.
