Which Fell bosses are there and where do you find them?

The Fell faction is the largest boss family in Enshrouded — it accounts for seven of the game’s twelve named bosses, more than any other faction. They are Shroud-corrupted beings twisted by the Embervale’s mist, and you encounter them across every biome and every Flame tier.

1.0 check (launch day): per-boss elemental resistances now live on each boss’s own page (and the hub table). The 1.0 pass reworked staggers and made bosses regenerate HP over time after combat.

How does Fell corruption shape each fight?

Shroud corruption gives every Fell boss a few shared behavioral traits — useful to internalize before a fight:

  • They all drop Shroud-related loot. Most drop Runes on defeat, and the higher-tier Fell bosses add Shroud Cores — the rare resource for Flame Altar upgrades. Fell Thunderbrute is the most reliable Shroud Core farmer in early and mid-game.
  • Higher-tier Fell bosses tend to be projectile-focused. Fell Cyclops fires a laser eye that tells you exactly where to stand (the one bright-white dot on the arena floor before it charges). Fell Dragon Youngling throws fire meteors you can parry back at it.
  • Fell Thunderbrute is the odd one out. It’s the slowest melee boss in the faction, not projectile-based — you kite its telegraphed swings and claim the Shroud Core it drops.

Which Fell boss should you fight first?

Fell bosses are naturally ordered by Flame gate, so your progression order is:

  1. Fell Wispwyvern (Flame 4) — The Pike, shoot its mouth while it roars. Head gives Flame Altar 3 + the grapple-hook upgrade prerequisite.
  2. Fell Monstrosity (Flame 5) — Nomad Highlands, Shroud projectiles + breath. Head gives Flame Altar 4.
  3. Fell Sicklescythe (Flame 6) — Kindlewastes Haunted Sun Temple. Block its sickles.
  4. Fell Cyclops (Flame 7) — Albaneve Summits Elixir Well. Laser eye pattern, fire is your kryptonite.
  5. Fell Dragon Youngling (Flame 8) — Endgame wall, confirmed 1.0 rework. The most difficult Fell fight by a wide margin.

Fell Thunderbrute and Fell Critter Queen are cross-biome minibosses you’ll fight repeatedly across your leveling path — Thunderbrute every time you need a Shroud Core from an Elixir Well, Critter Queen whenever you’re near a Shroud Root.

What changes with Fell bosses at 1.0?

Keen has explicitly confirmed two Fell-boss changes for 1.0:

  • Fell Dragon Youngling gets a full rework — deeper arena, new ground melee phase, reduced HP, fewer hits to stun, universal weak spot, parryable rock projectiles. This is the most detailed boss-specific rework announced for launch.
  • Resistance profiles may shift. Early-access fire-weakness on Fell Cyclops may or may not carry over. We’ll confirm all elemental resistances from patch notes + our first-look at launch and fill the quick-reference table above.

Compare with other boss factions

Fell is one of five boss factions in Embervale. See the sibling guides for the rest of the roster grouped by their shared mechanics:

  • Cyclops faction — single confirmed boss (the Albaneve Caves Cyclops), easiest in the game
  • Hollow faction — Hollow Cyclops, the dungeon-ender for every biome’s Hollow Halls
  • Scavenger faction — Scavenger Matron with three combat variants
  • Vukah faction — Vukah Brawler, Hammer of the Gods, weak to poison and fog
  • All bosses by region — quick-reference table of every boss by biome and Flame gate

FAQ

What is the Fell faction in Enshrouded?
The Fell are Shroud-corrupted enemies — bosses and minibosses twisted by the Embervale Shroud. Seven named Fell bosses are scattered across every biome, from minibosses guarding Elixir Wells to the Flame 8 endgame Fell Dragon Youngling.
Do all Fell bosses share the same weaknesses?
They share the same origin (Shroud corruption) but not the same exact weaknesses — Fell Cyclops and Fell Dragon Youngling both take extra fire damage, but Fell Thunderbrute and Fell Monstrosity each have their own counters. See the quick-reference table below for each boss's specific weak element.
Where do Fell boss head trophies go?
Every Fell boss head is a key ingredient for Flame Altar upgrades — Fell Wispwyvern (Flame 3), Fell Monstrosity (Flame 4), Fell Sicklescythe (Flame 5), Fell Cyclops (Flame 6), Fell Dragon Youngling (Flame 8), Fell Thunderbrute (varies). Only Fell Critter Queen drops Giant Critter Scales instead of a head.
Is Fell Dragon Youngling getting reworked at 1.0?
Yes. Keen confirmed a full rework: deeper arena, new ground/melee phase, reduced HP, fewer hits to stun, universal weak spot, and parryable rock projectiles. The current early-access page stun requirement (200+ arrows) is a pre-1.0 number.
