Vukah Faction — The Vukah Brawler, Weak to Poison and Fog, Jezmina's Apotheosis
Vukah Brawler: Hammer of the Gods, why poison and fog are the cleanest kill, its signature leap attack, and the Jezmina's Apotheosis legendary reward.

Vukah Brawler at a glance
The Vukah faction is a single-boss family in Enshrouded — the Vukah Brawler, wielder of the Hammer of the Gods. It’s the only named boss in Embervale with a confirmed elemental weakness (fire) that’s consistent across all early-access sources. That makes it one of the most predictable boss fights in the game.
Boss roster: Vukah Brawler (1 boss, Hammer of the Gods)
| Boss | Biome / region | Flame gate | Weak to | Loot | Full guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vukah Brawler | Nomad Highlands / Low Meadows / Kindlewastes border | Flame 4-5 zone | Fire | Jezmina’s Apotheosis (legendary hammer) | ↗ |
1.0 check (launch day): the patch notes do not confirm a Vukah Brawler head trophy for a Flame Altar upgrade — the early-access drop data remains the reference until in-game verification.
The signature attack — how to survive the leap
The Vukah Brawler has one devastating attack and everything else is setup:
- Leap-onto-you — it winds up the Hammer of the Gods and launches through the air. The impact zone is large, the wind-up is obvious, and getting hit one-shots most mid-game runners. Dodge through the landing spot the moment it leaves the ground — the dodge-roll iframes carry you clean out of the AoE.
- Hammer swings — telegraphed horizontal arcs. Blockable with a well-timed raise, though dodging is faster.
- Shroud slam — rare area effect that creates a temporary Shroud patch on the arena floor. Move out fast.
Fire is your best option. Equip a fire staff, bring fire damage consumables, or pick a path that stacks fire-related nodes. Early-access reports consistently rank fire as 20-30% more effective than blunt or cutting.
Why Jezmina’s Apotheosis matters
This legendary hammer is the faction’s crown reward — and one of only a handful of legendary weapons dropped by named bosses (most legendaries are found in Sun Temples). It has:
- Highest blunt damage of any hammer variant in early-access
- Unique on-hit effect (full stat table not yet independently verified)
- Large weapon slot, so you can pair it with a shield or a mobility-focused off-hand
Most runners don’t farm it intentionally — you get it on your first or second Vukah kill since the drop rate appears consistent.
Compare with other boss factions
Vukah is one of five boss factions in Embervale:
- Fell faction — 7 bosses, Shroud-corrupted, Flame 3-8
- Cyclops faction — 1 boss, Albaneve Caves, easiest in the game
- Hollow faction — 1 boss, dungeon-ender, every biome
- Scavenger faction — 1 boss, three combat variants, Flame 3
- All bosses by region — every boss grouped by biome
Vukah Brawler is also the only named boss with a consistently confirmed elemental weakness — Fell Cyclops and Fell Dragon Youngling both may have fire affinity, but neither’s early-access resistance data is as clear-cut as Vukah.
