Enshrouded Springlands - Guide, First Camp & What to Do First

Springlands is the Enshrouded tutorial region (levels 1-10, Flame 1-2). Where to build your first Flame Altar and the route to reach Revelwood.

Springlands is the first region you open in Enshrouded and, by design, the safest. The Shroud (the hostile mist that makes up the game’s core threat) is at its weakest here, the level range is tight, and the whole region is built to teach you placement, crafting, and the Flame Altar without punishing you for it.

Where Springlands fits

Fact Value
Level range 1-10
Flame level 1-2

Shroud pressure Low - the mildest of the six biomes

The level range is a planning guide. Because the Flame level is what actually decides whether the Shroud around your camp is survivable, confirm the exact gate in-game before pushing on. For how the two progress axes (character level and Flame level) work together, see the 1.0 release overview.

What to do here first

  1. Learn the basics. Springlands is where you get your first weapon, your first crafting stations, and your first taste of the Shroud. Do not rush; the region rewards taking the time to place things well.
  2. Place your first Flame Altar. This is the single most important decision in the region. Put it on Shroud-free ground in a spot you can expand around - it becomes your home base, your safe zone, and your respec point. See the Enshrouded beginner guide for the full placement, build-zone, and safe-zone breakdown.
  3. Reach the level-10 gate. Work the tutorial content and side tasks until you can step into Revelwood comfortably.

Bosses in Springlands

Springlands is the tutorial region, so its boss content is light. The one named fight that reaches here is the Scavenger Matron (standard variant), the Flame 3 gate that hands over your grapple-hook upgrade.

Key resources

Springlands carries the foundational materials you will keep using for the whole game.

  • Wood and stone - the base build and crafting inputs.
  • Early-tier crafting materials - everything the first tier of stations needs.

Getting to Revelwood

Once you have a working camp and have reached the region’s exit gate, the next area is Revelwood (levels 10-15, Flame 3), which includes the Blackmire sub-region. Springlands is where you stop fumbling and start settling - take the time to build a camp you will not regret.

For a base layout that fits the Springlands forest, see the base design gallery and filter by the Springlands biome.
