Enshrouded is about to graduate from early access. This overview tracks everything that is confirmed about the 1.0 launch - the release date, the Forging the Path skill tree rebuild, and the full six-biome world - and flags the details that still need in-game verification.

What is the Enshrouded 1.0 release date?

Enshrouded 1.0 is confirmed for October 15, 2026, with PC and PS5 launching on the same day and the Xbox version planned for spring 2027. After roughly two and a half years in early access - which began in January 2024 - the game is set to officially graduate.

PS5 October 15, 2026

For store availability and what to check before launch day, see the 1.0 buying and platform guide.

What does Forging the Path change?

Forging the Path (Update 8) is the final major update before 1.0, and its centerpiece is a complete rebuild of the skill tree into 12 class paths grouped into three color categories (red = melee/defense, green = ranged/agility, blue = magic/support) around a central hub of universal skills. Enshrouded still has no fixed classes - the paths are the new organizing principle for every build.

The full old-vs-new breakdown, respec mechanics, and first-invest advice live in the Forging the Path skill tree guide.

Which biomes are open at 1.0?

All six biomes are open at launch, gated by the game’s dual-axis progression (character level plus Flame level). The level ranges below are a planning guide - the Flame level is what actually decides whether deadly Shroud passages are survivable, and sources differ by a few levels on the upper bounds, so confirm exact gates in-game.

# Biome Level range Flame Role
1 Springlands 1-10 1-2 Tutorial region, earliest levels
2 Revelwood 10-15 3 Second region (incl. the Blackmire sub-region)
3 Nomad Highlands 15-20 4 Mid-game plateau
4 Kindlewastes 20-30 5-6 Mid-game desert (heat hazards)
5 Albaneve Summits 30-40 6-8 Late-game frozen mountains
6 Veilwater Basin 35-45 8-9 Endgame tropical region (added November 2025)

The level cap is 45.

How has the game changed since early access?

Early access began in January 2024. The two biggest additions since then are the Veilwater Basin endgame biome (added November 2025) and the Forging the Path skill tree rebuild (Update 8). For the 1.0 launch specifically, Keen has confirmed an expanded world (new area) plus performance optimizations for the 16-player cap, with further content (e.g. Adventure Sharing V2) on the post-1.0 roadmap.
