Best Enshrouded Server Hosting in 2026 - Neutral Comparison of 4 Hosts

Neutral comparison of the 4 best Enshrouded dedicated-server hosts, scored on price, one-click deploy, DDoS, backups, Mods, and support.

Editor’s note: We have been testing this in early access and confirm the mechanics and location described on this page. Where a value could not be confirmed we mark it not yet independently verified rather than guess - and verify against the live 1.0 build. Last verified: 2026-09-30.

A dedicated server is a game server that is always online for your group, independent of any single player’s PC. Running one for Enshrouded unlocks the full 16-player PC experience, a world that is always online for your group, and the ability to control player count, Mods, and updates yourself.

But the hosting market is full of hosts who also write their own guide content to funnel you to their panel - so this comparison is written neutrally, scores four providers on the same six criteria, and links straight to each host’s own site instead of a partner link — with one exception: the sponsored Supercraft link noted below is an affiliate link.

Affiliate Disclosure: We have no affiliate relationship with any host on this page except the sponsored Supercraft link below - every other link goes straight to the host’s own site, and we earn nothing if you buy those. The Supercraft link is an affiliate link (we may earn a commission); it is not scored against the six criteria and its inclusion does not affect the “best for” verdicts above, which are based only on the criteria in this article. Prices were checked on each host’s own Enshrouded page on September 30, 2026 and are for the Early Access build - expect them to move around the October 15, 2026 1.0 launch.

The four hosts at a glance

Host Positioning Entry price (re-checked 9/30/26) Managed? 16-player?
G-Portal Official Keen Games partner €18.20/30 days (10 slots) Managed (preconfigured) Yes (16 slots)
XGamingServer Dedicated hardware $10/mo (4 GB) Self-managed Yes (unlimited slots)
Flux Budget utility cloud $3.49/mo (4 players) Self-managed Yes (4/8/16 tiers)
Indifferent Broccoli Community host $5.99/mo (smallest) Self-managed Yes ($20.99/16)

Verified live on 2026-09-30 (early access): all four hosts now offer a 16-player plan — G-Portal sells 4–16 slots, XGamingServer gives unlimited slots (set 16 yourself), Flux sells 4/8/16-player tiers, and Indifferent Broccoli tops out at 16 players ($20.99/mo). The prices in the tables above are current early-access rates and may still be renamed, repriced, or re-tiered around the October 15, 2026 launch — re-check the host’s page before you buy.

The six criteria that matter

We score every host on the same six points. These are the things a player actually runs into, not the marketing adjectives:

  • Price - what the plan that comfortably runs your group costs, month to month.
  • One-click deploy - does an Enshrouded panel exist, and how much setup is it?
  • DDoS protection - is it included, always-on, or tiered behind a paid add-on?
  • Backups - are there automatic backups, how often, and are they free?
  • Mod compatibility - can you install Mods (panel manager, FTP/SFTP, file access)?
  • Support response - what channels, and is there a stated response-time SLA?

Host by host

G-Portal — the official, managed choice

G-Portal is Keen Games’ official hosting partner - the same service you can rent from inside the game. It is the only one of the four that is genuinely managed: the server is preconfigured and live in under three minutes, with no config files to touch.

Criterion What you get
Price €18.20 (≈$20.70) for 10 slots, €23.20 (≈$26.39) for 16 slots, per 30 days (Central Europe); a 3-day trial from ≈$9.40
One-click deploy Yes - live in <3 min, preconfigured, “no fiddling with config files”
DDoS Bulwark + Corero multi-layered protection, always included
Backups 50 GB backup storage included; manual or scheduled via panel/mod + FTP (no stated daily cadence)
Mods Yes - dedicated “Enshrouded Mod Loader” + FTP access (not yet independently verified)
Support 24/7 ticket; paid “Fast Lane” tickets guarantee first response ≤20 min (09:00-03:00 CET)

See G-Portal Enshrouded hosting

Best for: groups that want zero setup and an official, guaranteed-to-work panel, and do not mind paying a premium for managed service.

Verified live on 2026-09-30: G-Portal’s Enshrouded server scales from 4 to 16 slots, with the trial from ≈$9.40 and monthly tiers around $23 (10 slots) to $28+ (16 slots) in USD display — switch slots freely in the panel. The paid “Fast Lane” priority-support add-on exists (guaranteed first response ≤20 min, 09:00–03:00 CET), but its exact price was not exposed in the static store page; confirm the Fast Lane fee on the G-Portal page at 1.0.

XGamingServer — self-managed on real hardware

XGamingServer is the dedicated-hardware host that also publishes its own Enshrouded guides - worth knowing, since that is exactly the non-neutral angle this page is correcting for. On the merits it is a solid self-managed option: a 60-second one-click deploy, real AMD Ryzen hardware, and the only host here with clearly stated automatic daily backups.

Criterion What you get
Price $10/mo Starter (4 GB RAM, 2 threads, 35 GB NVMe); $25/mo Rookie (8 GB, 3 threads)
One-click deploy Yes - 3 steps, live in ≈60 s (the Enshrouded panel was no longer flagged “Sneak Peek” in our 2026-09-30 check, so features are now considered stable)
DDoS Included on every plan
Backups Automatic daily cloud backups, kept 7 days, one-click restore, included free
Mods Yes - full Mod support via panel Mod Manager
Support 24/7 expert support; no stated response-time SLA

See XGamingServer Enshrouded hosting

Best for: players who want strong automatic backups and dedicated hardware without paying for managed service, and are comfortable doing their own configuration.

Verified live on 2026-09-30: XGamingServer’s Enshrouded plan is no longer labelled “Sneak Peek” on its store page, and it grants unlimited player slots (you set 16 yourself) — so the 16-player cap is covered on any RAM tier. RAM tiers run $10 (4 GB) / $15 (6 GB) / $25 (8 GB) / $35 / $45 / $60 per month. Re-check the exact 1.0 tiering on the XGamingServer page at launch.

Flux — the budget utility option

Flux is the cheapest of the four and the most “yours to configure”: a decentralized utility cloud with a full file browser, live terminal, and a sub-30-second deploy. It is the pick if you want a low-cost, tinker-friendly server and do not need a guided panel.

Criterion What you get
Price $3.49/mo (4 players), $5.99/mo (8 players), $7.99/mo (16 players); first week free. (Verified live 2026-09-30 — pricing is now consistent across tiers.)
One-click deploy Yes - deploys in <30 s, no SteamCMD or port forwarding
DDoS “Enterprise-grade” protection included on all plans
Backups Automatic + manual backups, included free (stated on the live Flux page)
Mods Yes - via full file browser + live terminal (no dedicated Mod Manager)
Support 24/7 support available; no stated SLA

See Flux Enshrouded hosting

Best for: cost-conscious players who want a cheap, hands-on server and are happy to manage files and updates themselves.

Indifferent Broccoli — the community host

Indifferent Broccoli is a smaller, community-focused host with 24/7 human support over Discord and an unusually generous free trial. It is a good middle ground: cheaper than the official host, with a simple panel plus Discord-bot controls.

Criterion What you get
Price From $5.99/mo (smallest tier); $20.99/mo for 16 players (monthly billing; cheaper quarterly/annually). 2-day free trial
One-click deploy Yes - launch in <60 s; simple panel + Discord bot controls
DDoS Included (listed as a standard feature)
Backups Not stated on the Enshrouded page (unverified)
Mods Yes - Mod support + full file access / SFTP
Support 24/7 human support via Discord (fastest), email, and a priority line for urgent issues; no stated SLA

See Indifferent Broccoli Enshrouded hosting

Best for: groups that want a small, human-friendly host with cheap entry pricing and live support, and do not need guaranteed automatic backups.

Verified live on 2026-09-30: Indifferent Broccoli’s per-player pricing is confirmed — $5.99 (1p) / $6.99 (2p) / $9.99 (4p) / $12.99 (6p) / $15.99 (8p) / $18.99 (10p) / $19.99 (12p) / $20.99 (16p) per month, max 16 players. Its backup cadence is still not stated on the Enshrouded page — confirm it and the 1.0 per-player rates at launch.

Which one should you pick?

  • You want it done for you -> G-Portal. It is the official, managed option: preconfigured, Mod loader built in (not yet independently verified), and it is what Keen themselves point to. You pay for the convenience.
  • You want the safest data story -> XGamingServer. The only host with clearly stated automatic daily backups, on real dedicated hardware.
  • You want the lowest bill and like tinkering -> Flux. The cheapest entry, full file/terminal access, but you are in the driver’s seat.
  • You want a small host with humans on the other end -> Indifferent Broccoli. Cheap entry, Discord-first 24/7 support, generous trial.

For most groups, the decision comes down to managed vs. self-managed: if anyone in your party will be setting up or maintaining the server and nobody wants to learn the panel, pay the G-Portal premium. If your group has at least one comfortable admin and you want to spend less, one of the self-managed hosts will do the job - and you get more control over the world in return.

Whichever host you pick, plan your group’s roles before launch: the 1.0 buying and platform guide explains how the player cap and cross-play work on each platform.

Also considered: Shockbyte, Nodecraft, BisectHosting and Survival Servers also sell Enshrouded hosting and publish 1.0 content. They are listed rather than scored because we have not re-checked their backup cadence and DDoS terms against the same six criteria. Raw 1.0-era pricing is now tracked in the community-maintained host list (30+ providers, verified through October 14, 2026): Survival Servers lists unlimited slots at $2.00/slot with a 40% launch discount, Nodecraft starts at $12.00, and the newly added PlayNHost offers $2.12/slot from $18.99. Compare these against the four scored hosts above before you buy.

What to not yet independently verified

Everything above is checked against the Early Access build. Before you commit on October 15, 2026, re-check three things on the host’s page: the current 1.0 price and whether a 16-player plan is offered, whether the panel has moved past “Sneak Peek”, and the backup/support terms (these are the fields most likely to shift at launch). For how co-op and the player cap work on each platform, see the 1.0 buying and platform guide, and for the full launch-day checklist, the 1.0 update overview.
